Read the reports
Recent days appear first, with the newest update first within each day. Claims grouped under one exact timestamp retain their documented narrative order. On desktop, choosing a report opens its evidence below the timeline while the map remains available. Next moves toward older visible reports and Previous moves back toward newer ones, respecting the current search and filters. On phones, use Map, Updates and Details in the bottom navigation.
Understand dates and sources
Reported is when the source published or displayed the information, not necessarily when the event happened. When an exact publication time is unavailable, the report shows only what the source establishes. All displayed times use Nepal time (UTC+05:45). Open a publisher to see what that source supports and what it does not establish; repeated coverage may still come from one original account.
Use the site map
The map is reconstruction context, not an event-location map. Selecting a report updates its annotation but does not place that event in a tunnel: the incident branch and exact locations remain unverified.
Drag to rotate and scroll to zoom. Use Map key & routes to inspect a feature or reset the camera from the map toolbar.
Choose Pan or Rotate, then drag with one finger. Pinch to zoom; two fingers move the view without rotating it. Use Reset to restore the overview.
Use Annotate to place your own notes on the map. Personal notes remain in this browser and are visually separate from the published rescue record.
Update photo pins stay visible across the full timeline. Selecting one opens its photo and highlights the linked update; each pin states when its location is unresolved. Photo locations contains separate historical location references, not incident-time evidence.
